Priscilla #5 is our next project, it is in production and the above is a "rough" from the upcoming title. In the issue we are going to deal with human trafficking. Jamie Cosley is donating his talents to this project and really is the inspiration for the title. Jamie went to Belize this last summer on some mission work (which by the way I am totally jealous, what a good Godly man he is!) He came back with some stories and the possibility of working together for a third party project to shed light on the subject matter of human trafficking. Usually these things take time to develop, and well God help me because I am not the patient and have never been a wait and see type. So I figured let's do our own comic on the subject and make it Priscilla #5. We have no official release dates as of yet, but as promised before under the code name "Broken Wings," we will be offering the title in Spanish with a free digital version available for free through the iTunes bookstore.

We are currently sold out of David and Goliath, and Priscilla #4 we hope to have the titles back in stock in the beginning of the year. I have not been able to post too many updates simply because I have been overwhelmed with being a Parent with a child with special needs, a student, and dealing with things everyone goes through but during the winter break I promise to get more information out to you guys. Friday I will post again with some terrific end of the year good news.

Lil' Priscilla is still going on strong, there has not been a update in a while but that is only because we have been working hard on Priscilla #5. I hope all is well and God Bless!

-Peter-

Stuff those stockings sale!!!

Starting Tuesday, November 1st we will be having a special "Stuff those stockings sale," where all Crown Jr. titles will be available at cost! The music was good and loud. The food was delicious :) and we really sold a diverse amount of products including but not limited to toys, iPhone Noah covers and lots of comics. Kids were hoarding our Buster Bennington buttons and free trading cards, I guess everyone loves free swag.

We were once again set up on vendor island and despite the cold night winds and chronic dust problems, and oh yeah the moisture issues (the comics took it very hard) we got lots of foot traffic inside the booth. I was really overwhelmed by the response Buster Bennington received especially since I only made a little sign with a logo for it. I was constantly being asked if I had a Buster comic book. I had even one person who asked how much for the sign, and then asked me how much for my shirt (I made a buster logo tee). So I was really moved on how much people right off the bat loved the Buster concept even though they were just seeing the new Buster Bennington logo.

The bad news is we didn't break even as I hoped and therefore I must delay the beginning of Salinas Slugger Studios animation... for now. I hope to start back up by the end of the year after I have recouped the losses. The good news is I did sell enough comics, toys, and iPhone covers to fund a new, but smaller project. Salinas Slugger Studios will be starting a new series of canvas art prints designed for children's bedrooms and youth group decor. Drew Pocza has been hired to complete the first piece of the series and we will post more information as it becomes available. I thank everyone for their support, I couldn't do it without you!!!

God Bless,

-Peter Gonzalez-

Lil' Priscilla

Finally we are going to push ahead on a Lil' Priscilla project. Fortunately for us however the CCAS (Christian Comic and Arts Society) will be there and has done us the tremendous favor by carrying our titles at the event. Here is a list of Crown Jr. titles they will have on hand.

David and Goliath

Noah

Moses

Priscilla 1-3

The CCAS booth will be located at Corner Booth Space #P-08. We hope all making the trek have a great time and have a safe trip.

We are two weeks away from Spirit West Coast, we are looking forward to exhibiting there for the third straight year. We will be looking to raise the ante as we will have more titles, better giveaways, and can't wait to meet our old SWC friends and make new ones.

Also we have the good news of announcing Crown Jr. Comics will be available at the Wizard Chicago Comic Con. I thank Brian Bradley and David McConnehey on making this happen it is a tremendous blessing.

Have a GREAT week and God Bless,

-Peter-

Nemo Update

Prayer works! Little Nemo to my understanding is now out of the ICU, and is on his way to rehab. While this is great news there is still a long road for a full recovery, which we pray for and fully expect. One of the many blessings I come across from doing Christian comics are the people I meet and the relationships I make. I'm lucky to call my pal and Priscilla artist Jamie Cosley my friend. He was kind enough to create a special little painting for Nemo. When I receive it I will forward it to Nemo's family and I hope Nemo will love it!

I ask for your continued prayers, as mentioned before there is a long road ahead, also say a prayer for Nemo's family that the good Lord comfort them during this difficult time. For those who don't know SWC is the premier Christian music festival on the west coast and has had performers such as Toby Mac, David Crowder Band, Third Day, Newsboys, Mathew West, Jars of Clay, and many more. I have exhibited there the last two years and it has been a total blessing for me and my family. We will be giving away special Buster Bennington buttons to the first 250 people that come to the booth, last year we completely ran out of our Priscilla buttons and we printed up 500 of those so you better come to our booth early!

We will also be having a long list of new titles that we didn't have last year including...

Retribution LE

Priscilla #3

Priscilla #4

Soldier of Darkness #1

Babylon: Exile

Babylon: Conquest

The Christ #1

The Christ #2

Vladimir Prince of Russia

The Action Bible

We are also hoping to be debuting our new canvas art prints that will feature famous Biblical scenes that are usually not featured on artwork. The series combines puppets, music skits, animation, and stick puppets to tell the world's most important story......The Story of God. Vischer in my opinion and also my seven year old's opinion has thus far delivered a great package of accurate Biblical theology, funny skits, and funny characters. I was sent a copy of What's in the Bible Volume 5 for review by the good people at Tyndale Kids.

I was very excited to dig into volume 5 as David and Goliath is one of my favorite Bible stories, and was actually the first story I covered in my comic book ministry. Volume five does a great job telling the rise and fall of King Saul, and then showing even someone as Godly as King David had flaws. I really love the way WITB pointed out that King David didn't make excuses for his sins, instead he would pray to God to forgive him and to make him whole again. That message really hit home with me, but I guess that's why I always watch these DVD's with my son as I too, learn lessons from these great productions. King Solomon is also covered, and of course the series covers all the tough questions like why King Solomon had 700 wives! Once again we have a perfect combination of puppetry, animation, and musical skits. The Bentley Brothers are absolutely great and always are the highlight of every DVD. I was wondering as I loaded the DVD if my seven year would get tired of watching the series, even though there was no real reason for him to do so. He loved volume 5! Told me it was his second favorite right behind volume one. So once again the WITB team has done it again. My son is already asking me for volume 6 telling me "I wonder what's in the next one." One of the things that I really love about the show is it teaches children the why's, who's, and where's of the Bible. These things we often don't really take time to teach as we often teach rules, and commandments. Which are important, but as a child grows up they need to know why the Bible is credible, and this series does just that. I'm really thankful to Phil Vischer and his team for producing this series.

The very generous team at What's in The Bible has given me a certificate to give away for a free copy of What's in the Bible Volume 5!!! So here are the contest rules.

You must follow this blog, click on the follow button on the right of this blog. The story centers around Erik Morrissey an "accidental" explorer and detective. Erik is an orphan abandoned by his father and staying at Isambard Dunston's School for Wayward Children when he discovers a criminal ring robbing the wealthy neighbors nearby the school. With his best friends Sadie and Saskie who are twin sisters helping out along the way, Erik and friends stumble their way to figuring out the secret of Indigo Moon.

One of the things that really blew me away was this book is a "hybrid" book. Part novel, part comic book, and really is a great idea. However having a great idea is just half the battle, implementing it is another. Well I am glad to report this was done the right way, and the comic book sequences are just amazing. The artwork is worthy of anything you'll find at Marvel or DC Comics. I really enjoyed the book and now would like to find the first installment of the story. Besides the comic art, the presentation of the story was excellent with art, and letter fonts that helped created the mood of the story. While I didn't give away the ending in my rundown of the story I am glad to point out that it wasn't obvious who ringleader was and actually came out of left field.

There is nothing worse than an obvious ending, and you don't have to worry about that here.

This book is recommended for readers between the ages of 9-12. It is a Christian Fiction book, but was hard pressed to find anything much on faith on the book until the very end which was very light. I was left wondering if perhaps more could have been done without being over bearing as in other titles, and that is my only minor complaint.

Pros: Comic Book story woven throughout the book.

         Very good story, not predictable.

Overall presentation of the story is excellent.

Cons: Very hard to find any Christian Message

Official Website http://www.dopplegangerchronicles.com/

SWC Button, iBooks, Trade Paperback

Hello There! Hoping all is well since the last post we have some news that we wanted to tell everyone. First off everyone's favorite jr. explorer......no not that one with the talking backpack and map! I mean the real jr. explorer Buster Bennington will be featured on our Spirit West Coast button giveaway!!! I'm also thinking of creating a special limited edition giveaway preview issue of Buster Bennington. Kids and adults alike loved the button last year, and was surprised to see adults coming up to my booth saying "Are you the button guy?"

Also the entire (well almost entire) Crown Jr. library is and will be on the iBooks library ready to purchase for on $0.99 a title. David and Goliath is available now and shortly the rest of the collection will be in the iBooks library. Just search for JMG Studio and our titles should be seen. Any questions please contact us at crownjrcomics(at)gmail(dot)com

Last but not least we are putting a hold on the Trade Paperback and will monitor how our titles do on the iBooks library. I believe digital downloadable books are clearly the future, and am hesitant in creating and investing in a book that will retail for $15-$17.

Priscilla #3 Sale 1 week only.

We are having a 1 week sale on our newest title Priscilla #3. You can follow Bryan Mero on twitter .

David and Goliath:
I want to thank Peter for filling a need out in the comic book world. Comics today have become so "edgy" and mostly for teens and adults that you can hardly find comics for kids. David and Goliath is great for kids! Using animals as the characters is perfect and the story telling is presented in a simple yet elegant ...way.

My only criticism would be that I found some of the artwork to be a bit 2 dimensional. The impact of Goliath could have been a bit more impressive but that's from an adults point of view...my kids loved the comic and didn't complain at all about the artwork.

Overall, this is a great start for many more stories to come. I can't wait to see what else Peter has instore for Crown of Life Junior Comics!

Noah:
Noah is definitely a work of art. The artist Eric Merced has a great style and the colors help characters jump off the page.

Peter's story of two sisters walking in the rain seemed perfect for Noah. It makes a great read for my young daughter.

The only minor complaint I have is the font size of the dialogue. The letter size is very small which makes it a bit hard to read.

Other than that minor issue, this is an excellent book and I could see many churches and other organizations buy a bunch of these for handouts or prizes. Thanks again, Peter...Noah is great!

Do you like Westerns?

Salinas Slugger Studios has just released a little teaser from their upcoming comic book "Retribution". There is however something on my heart. Two years ago I met a bunch of young adults fighting the good fight named Rock for Life. They go around fighting for the rights of unborn children to live. Meeting people with so much passion was really inspiring to me and it's a cause that I donate to via my "Our Fruit" program here at Crown Jr. Comics.

Rock for Life is headed to Washington D.C. and they need your help for the March for Life rally. Please visit their website www.RockForLife.org and please consider donating to their cause. Even $5 can help, and really when you donate no matter how small you help inspire these individuals who fight these causes for God on the frontlines.

End of year report

We are closing in to the end of the year and I just wanted to give thanks to everyone who made 2010 a banner year here at Crown Jr. Comics. We are hoping to have it printed in the summer of 2011. Once Priscilla #4 is done we will begin working on our newest project which will be our first graphic novel Priscilla: Sticks and Stones. I appreciate all the interest in the set and all the hard work invested by the graphic artists, and illustrators of the cards. Priscilla #4 will not be released this year due to monetary issues, but will be put online for free and taking donations towards the print, we hope to have our last comic book we produce out by next fall. That's right Priscilla #4 will be our last comic book we ever produce. I am proud to say it will be our finest offering yet. It's been a lot of fun working with artists, and a great experience producing books. I never thought I would ever do anything like this, and it's been a huge blessing. Like they say "All good things must come to an end......"
The problem is however I want to do more than "good things", I want to do great things. Not because I am so awesome or have the talent and imagination to accomplish great things, but because of whom I do them for, do I believe I can do them. Crown Jr will no longer do comic books, but the future has Children's books, and Graphic novels in them. I love the comic book format, but the future of the ministry will be with bigger stories, bigger characters in bigger worlds, with ISBN's. Having graphic novel's with ISBN's can take the ministry further than comic books with just upc's so that's the direction I feel we have to take.
Also we will take a different approach to the development process, I would say it takes 10 times longer to produce the story (ARTWORK), than it does to develop (Writing). I'm going to reverse that ratio and spend a lot more time in development. I had no writing background when I began the ministry, so I have had to learn what works and what doesn't work along the way. I am confident everything we will develop from here on out will be of the highest standards possible. That being said I would like to thank everyone involved in this wild ride.

Priscilla #4 Update

Wanted to give a quick update on Priscilla #4 due out early December. Will there be a lot of people there? Will they be in a buying mood? Will the event be well organized? Will I have as much fun as the other events? Well for the Rock of Ages musical festival in Calistoga, California, the answer is a resounding YES!!! My favorite festival has always been Spirit West Coast in Monterey, and is the measuring stick for all my events, and well this is how Rock of Ages measured up. The atmosphere at Rock of Ages is what stood out to me the most, it felt very relaxing to be there and everybody, and I do mean everybody, was nice and pleasant. The crowds were smaller.......but it seemed like more people were buying. Spirit West Coast charges $60 for entry which is reasonable since they have like four stages and usually two big bands every night. Rock of Ages was $10 if purchased 30 days before the event and $15 within that month. It really showed because not only did we have record one day sales, it just seemed people had less anxiety when buying. Imagine taking a family of five to Spirit West Coast $300 compared to Rock of Ages $75. In this economy, big difference. The music was great, while I am a fan of the "old" Newsboys, it was great to see the "new" Newsboys singing their new, old and DC Talk songs. What I always love is meeting new people, and really that's what it is all about. While I met lots of new people, I also ran into fellow veteran exhibitors "Earthen Vessels", who make awesome Christian Apparel (View their website here). All in all I had a great time and will make it a personal mission to be back in 2011. Also if you are in the area, you should make it yours as well.

-Peter Gonzalez-

The Calm before the storm.

Above is a new character for our upcoming comic for Christian Events magazine. Also Priscilla #3 will be arriving on Monday and shipping on Tuesday, I just wanted to take this time to thank all those involved in this project. A big thank you to Jamie Cosley, a master at his craft, who also puts a lot of heart and hard work in every Priscilla project, we thank God for him and are blessed to have him on board this project and for Priscilla #4 due out December. I want to thank Eric Merced who did the finishing work on the cover to get it retail ready. Last but not least Jim Kagel Jr. for doing all the pre-press work. I also want to thank God for choosing this nobody, with no talent to do this work for him. I will work tirelessly to spread the gospel to children and adult alike, while always trying to improve my craft as writer and producer, with the only goal to bring glory to his mighty name and kingdom. I thank all those involved, who support us monetarily and with prayer. I only had 14 pages of story and it was suppose to be 16. I looked the story over and thought to myself how much I liked it and wasn't going to mess with it. So what I did was create a thank you page, and gave a page to Eric Merced to promote his website. Sounds like I solved the problem right? Wrong. Because it cost the same to print as David and Goliath I had to charge the same price.

I kinda felt like I was over charging for Noah a bit. So I have decided to add a special two page Lil' Priscilla story to the book of Noah. It will be written and Illustrated by Crashland Studios Jamie Cosley. I will post any new information as it becomes available.

-Pete-
www.crownjr.com

Spirit West Coast Monterey 2010 Summary

One thing I was worried about before going to this years edition of Spirit West Coast Monterey was I had such a great time at last years event, there was no way I could have as good of a time. No need to worry however, once again my entire family had a great time. I met some great new people, and caught up with some old SWC friends.

Another worry I had was the date of the event. I was kinda scared it might be a ghost town being that usually everyone loves to spend time with their family during a 4th of July weekend. Well it wasn't a ghost town, but attendance was down 40% this year. Sounds pretty bad huh? Well lucky for us we sold more books this year than last!

I just wanted to thank some people because with out them, I wouldn't have such a great time! First off of course my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim Kagel Jr., Jamie Cosley, and Eric Merced. They are the true super stars of my ministry. My Parents Joe and Adalia Pereira for their amazing support! My wife for letting me be me! Love you baby! My children that are here Joey and Jayden for being such good boys while I exhibited at the event. To my soon to be child Joshua for not coming out sooner!!! It really would of put me in a pickle! Ka-Blam Digital Printing, Jak Prints. My fellow Christian Comic Book creators, Bryan Mero, Bob Luedke, Pat Boone, Randall Clark, and Greg Lucero. A special thank you to the SWC volunteers, you are amazing!!! Brandon Barr and Mike Lynch for their sound advice, and friendship. Comfort Inn Marina, the punk Christian rock group The Kings Kids. To all who purchase a book for the child, THANK YOU!

-Peter-
www.crownjr.com

Priscilla #3

We are now have begun working on issue #3 for Priscilla, writing is nearly done and Jamie Cosley just gave me a rough sketch of the cover which I think everyone is going to love. We will also be introducing you to a new character developed by Jamie Cosley and myself Spotty Priscilla's pet dalmatian. In this issue we cover God's promises, and how no matter what they are always true. We will cover the covenant with Abraham, Prophecy in the Bible, and things that God has promised that has already happened. We will post more pics as soon as we can. First off today I sent off our exhibitor package so we can be at Spirit West Coast again this year. We had such a great time last year and almost didn't make it this year due to financial reasons. As always, God has the last word and he opened the door for us to be there, so we are so happy to be back in 2010. As for our comics Priscilla #2 is near completion and will be available soon, in case you have not heard it will include the story of Jonah. Jamie Cosley once again has done a terrific job and I am so thankful to be working with him not only on this issue but also on Priscilla #3. We have released photos from Character Development on our future title Samson. Please visit CrownJr.com and click on our Facebook link to see the photos. I have seen Volume 1 & 2 so far with my children and I must admit that not only did my kids learn important facts about the Bible, but so was I! Phil is a master at getting his message across to youth in a colorful, fun, way. When they are approved the Free Redemption codes will be generously given to our Artists and Fans. We are starting to get the Trading card set going and we have already had 4 cards in the set printed up. We still need to get some more artwork done to complete the set, so still no timetable for the sets release but it will be sooner than later. Hope you all have a great weekend. I hope those who read and followed the story enjoyed it! Jamie Cosley told me I should put the webcomic in print, thought it was a good idea, and we are working on that right now. We will have two covers a Retail Version available at Indyplanet and Comics Monkey with the cover done by Eric Merced. The direct version will feature art done by Jamie Cosley and will be available only through our website for a limited time. Eric Merced is also doing the page setups for the book and is doing a great job. The scheduled release for the book is March 16th but at this rate will possibly be moved up by two weeks. Breaking News!!! Eric Merced just got me the files so we will have the book a lot sooner than expected. As you may or may not know each book we put in print we donate to a specific cause per title sold. For this title we will donate $0.25 to pro-life ministries. This past summer we meet members from the group Rock for Life, and learned so much. The Tower of Babel has been coming out great and super artist Jamie Cosley has been knocking out the park in every scene. I feel really fortunate to have worked with him on this project. This Project should wrap up next month, and be in print about the same time.

The Reason I'm going to stop producing Crown Junior titles for a while is that I want to work on another project that I have been working on for a while. I won't announce any details until I get the cover done, but i'm really excited to do it. It's a whole different direction than what I have done before and I'm ready for the challenge. It will be a Christian comic book. So I hope I got your blessings .......The story of Garden of Eden will get done, just not as soon as I previously thought.

Thanks for your Support and Prayers,
-Pete-

2009 In Review Part Two

Wondercon, Spirit West Coast Monterey, and Light Up A Life Christmas Celebration.... wow Crown of Life Junior Comics was all over the state of California. We launched in February and are very thankful for the 154 books we sold in 2009. That number may seem small to some, but to me I'm very thankful for each copy I sold. Our goal in 2010 is to double that number. I wanted to say a special thank you to Jim Kagel Jr, who did the artwork David and Goliath, also Moses cover to cover. He did alot of graphic design for us, and we wouldn't have had the success we had without him. Thanks to all the artists who have done work for us we are truly grateful. With my first year in a review blog, I wanted to thank the talented artists from CrashLand Studio. First off a big thank you to Eric Merced who illustrated Noah from cover to cover, did the Eden and Priscilla #1 covers. Also, did trading card artwork and wallpaper for us. Oops I almost forgot Eric also designed a Moses Childrens shirt. Not bad for seven months. I also wanted to thank Jamie Cosley who currently is the artist for the Tower of Babel Webcomic. Jamie also had done trading card art for us. Last but not least Josh Alves who has also done trading card art for us.

Once in a while you might listen to unknown musicians and wonder to yourself, "Why aren't these guys famous?", to me that's how I feel about these guys at Crashland Studio. They are all true to the word "Professionals", each with a unique style, and I'm very surprised that I am able to work with them. I know one day they will all grow to be super successful in their careers, and I will be able to brag that I worked with these great guys. A tip of my cap to this trio of great artists, and I hope 2010 will bring us to work together again.
-Peter Gonzalez-
One Insignificant Man, With Big Dreams, Powered by an Infinite God.

December Update.

Hi there friends, hoping all is well. First off we are back from the San Diego area where we helped raise funds for children with autism. Convicted thru Christ Clothing led the charge for this event, and for being their first event, it was first class all the way. Everyone there had a great time including myself and my family. First off, Tower of Babel has slowed a bit, the artist who is doing the work got a nasty virus on his PC. However the silver lining in the story is now he has a brand new spanking Mac. I'm still working on Tower of Babel storyline, the sub story is done and I think works great with the main story. I was fascinated by the story of the tower and when I looked in to it scripture wise I thought to myself "That's it?" There however is so much more to the story, and I really love doing theology work to learn more about the word of God than I previously knew.

We also have kicked off two fundraisers for the Tower of Babel Webcomic, which will be free online and on the Iphone (ASAP). The first fundraiser we have is we are giving away dual signed Noah by myself and super artist Eric Merced for a donation of $20. The second is we are selling items through "The Pampered Chef", we get 15% of the sale and we would greatly appreciate your support no matter how small or big the purchase is. Visit CrownJr.com and click on the fundraiser to tab to learn more.

That's it for now, I hope you all have a great weekend and I truly appreaciate your support.

-Peter Gonzalez-

100, Moses, & Tower of Babel

Hello there, hoping everyone had a fun and safe weekend. Long time no blog but I don't like to post unless there is a significant amount of news. First off we have hit over 100 books sold! I know that doesn't sound like alot, but truth is I am moved and grateful for every copy sold. I do my best to deliver the gospel in a accurate, fun way. It's a great feeling to see a kid read one of your books. I have also given them away to barbershops, daycares, libraries, and to local church's. The word of God is being preached and that is the number one important thing to me. Second Moses is officially being released and shipped tommorow, it's a monster 32 pages and is available at my online store. Jim Kagel did an awesome job with the art and I think we have presented the story in a correct, fun way! Last but not least we are still working on the Tower of Babel webcomic. The timeframe in which we will be able to start posting story is still unknown. It will be available free online, we will also make it a free Itunes app for the Iphone, and the Ipod Touch. We will also print it up as a Mini-Comic book maybe 8 pages total. That's it for now, have a great week and don't forget to carry the cross daily!
-Peter-

The Tower of Babel WebComic.

Hello everyone, hoping you all had a great weekend. We got news, news, news......first of The Tower of Babel sub story is complete, or at least a rough draft of it is. I really like the direction of it, and I think it will tie in well with the Tower of Babel story. Priscilla our character from Noah will be back! I'm really excited about that, from the moment Crashland Studio super artist Eric Merced emailed me the comp of her I knew she would be a great character. I hope to continue to develop her character in a fun, colorful way. Jamie Cosley another Crashland Studio alum will be doing the artwork and I hope to have something posted on the site within 4-6 weeks, hopefully sooner God willing. We are now only 15 days away from the Moses release and right now looking at a retail price of $5. I know that's a bit high, but it's a massive 32 pages of story. Our artwork from our upcoming trading card set has slowed down a bit, but hopefully once Tower of Babel is done we can get some more artwork commissioned. We still have a couple of cards that have been paid for that we have been waiting for and once we get them we will post the asap on our facebook page. Also we are running a sale on David and Goliath until saturday we are taking a $1 off the regular price and is selling now for only $2.50. We are also getting ready to debut the Crown of Life Junior Library foundation. What will it do? With every sale of Moses we will put 25 cents into the foundation to purchase Christian books for public libraries. If you have any suggestions on great Christian books for young or old please let us know. Well that's it for now and God Bless.
-Peter-
www.CrownJr.com

Countdown to Moses

We now have an official release date for Moses! November 3rd, 2009. We'll have a preorder available to all artists who have worked on projects for us, as well as people who have helped Crown of Life Junior in other ways. Also I'm working with Jamie Cosley of Crashland Studio and am hoping to have a webcomic by the end of the month. When things are finalized between Jamie and I, I will post the info. On the trading card front we are still in development, while most of the artwork is done and finalized. We hope for a Fall 2011 release on the cards. Adam and Eve is coming along slowly, but I am hoping to have a story outline done by the end of the month. Once Moses releases work will begin on the Samson cover, with a estimated release date of Fall 2012. Hoping all of you had a great weekend, and have a great week! I wanted to start this blog by saying a big thank you to Daniel Rossano of Antioch Calvary Chapel for their bulk order our Crown Junior books for their Church book Store. Your support really made our week! There has been a title change for our upcoming book, it will no longer be just Adam & Eve. Eden: The Story of Adam & Eve will be the new title. In case you havn't read my last blog. Eden will be joint partnership between myself and super artist Eric Merced. I really love that fact that Eric is challenging me on my writing and demanding that I step it up. Don't worry Eric I'm going to demand you step it up on the art too buddy! He he he :) But serioussly Eric has made major input from title to story and I hope to have a rough outline done by next week, so I can start scripting by the end of the month. We are hoping to get on some local fall festival events at church's in the local area to spread the word of our ministry. That's it for now, have a great week God Bless.
-Peter Gonzalez-
John 15:12
www.crownjr.com

Fall is upon us!

Hello everyone, hoping you all had a great weekend and spent it with your family and close friends. The first piece of news I have is the Moses release will be moved up. We are doing this is in order to generate more revenue to start working on our next title Adam & Eve. If everything goes right we are thinking the end of October. I finally got baptized this weekend, and what made it special was my family was there to watch it. I got baptized to have a public showing of my faith, also the Bible commands us to! On the events front we have not found anything that would make sense to do. Some of these music festivals want extreme amounts of money for a booth, then some even ask for us to purchase liability insurance for $1 million dollars. Er.... what am I insuring against......papercuts? However, I am positive things will open up for us, and God will put us where we need to be. The leaves on the trees are beginning to change color where I live and am very happy fall is upon us. Spring and Fall are our favorite times of the year. Before I let you go I want to encourage you to visit Convicted thru Christ Clothing they are some great people I met at this years Spirit West Coast, and in my opinion have a great Christian clothing line.

And our next title is........

<meta equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; Adam & Eve, Samson was going to be our next title after Moses, but when I saw Eric Merced's art in Noah, I was wait a minute Adam & Eve would be perfect! To be honest I think I just loved how Eric Merced drew up the characters, and said to myself, "Yup, that's next"! We will also have the story of The Tower of Babel in the comic book. I've never seen the Tower of Babel done in a childrens story so I look foward to the challenge. Also Adam & Eve will be a joint venture between myself and artist Eric Merced. Eric has done alot for Crown of Life Junior behind the scenes. Eric and myself will try our best to raise the bar, and make Adam & Eve the best children's comic book ever. I know that may seem like to lofty a goal, but with God's help anything is possible! Hope you are having a great week and if you havn't seen the artwork yet you can see it at facebook via this link

New Title, Trading Cards.............

Hello, hoping all is well. I already know how I want the story and characters for Samson to go but I have had a change of heart. I will announce our next title very soon and introduce the cover the same day. As for current projects we are lucky to have Eric Merced (creator of Dog Saint), and Noah artist become the editor for "Moses". His input has helped polish the book, as we inch closer to it's release. Our trading card Promo card shipped out today from the printers and will be ready to ship out with all Noah purchases September 1st. I want to let the artists know simply because they are the backbone of what I do. I dream it, they make it happen. And usually at a fraction of the charge they would normally work for. So I am grateful and in the next paragraph you will see what I'm doing with your hard work and sacrifice. To my customers, and donors I want to thank you because without you I can't print up books, or pay artists to do artwork.

This month we have donated $10 to the Doug Flutie Jr foundation to help fight Autism. We also have donated $10 to Compassion who feed hungry children around the world in Jesus' name. I am talking to a church in Watsonville CA, and it sounds like they are going to purchase 75 books from us so it looks like we will be making more donations in September which put's an ear to ear smile on my face. This last Friday we donated 9 books to St. Anthony's Catholic school library, which is just pure awesome because many kids will be able to read our books oppose to only a couple when I sell to an individual. Tommorow (Monday) I will be going to Merced Christian School and will be donating more books to their library. I am also scouring my local area and am trying to find all Christian schools so I can put our books into their libraries.

This wouldn't be possible without your support. There are hungry children being feed because of you! Children are being helped with autism because of you! Children are having their foundation of faith being built by reading our books because of you! Once again I thank you this month you have made a difference in this world. It can be viewed at www.CrownJr.com or at our facebook page (link below). They will be ready for the Noah launch, for every Crown Junior comic bought you will receive a Priscilla promo card! Only 1,000 cards will be produced (That's like 20 per state), so I'm hoping everyone who receives one will enjoy their free collectible. I'm hoping to have the set ready for launch in late 2011 or early 2012. But knowing how I am they may be ready in 2010. But officially we'll say late 2011. Also one of our favorite artists Eric Merced, has agreed to do two cards for us. We are very happy to have him onboard. For those who received the Noah Presell password, the code will expire August 25th. Moses is coming along just fine. In case you havn't heard Moses is up to 32 pages of story! That's double the size of David and Goliath. We hope to have news on our next book Samson within a couple of months. I just wanted to take this time to talk about the happenings at Crown of Life Junior Comics. Noah is under three weeks from release. I have been getting such a positive response from people who have gotten a sneak peek, or maybe they picked a early release copy at Spirit West Coast Monterey. However they got it, people really seemed to love Noah, and artist Eric Merced did a masterful job on it. Steve Harms of VFX, who does animation for a living said "He felt as if he was watching a animated movie, because of the expressions of Priscilla and Teri, characters in the Noah sub story. So I'm very, very happy to hear people are really enjoying the book. On the Moses front the 28 page epic was suppose to be done, and really the project was based on budget, having 28 pages of art done is very expensive and I didn't have any room for a sub-story, and even had to cut corners in terms of stuff I had to leave out in the 28 page story. Well, in the words of Toby Mac, "My Jesus, My Jesus he didn't half way do it!" Yeah I am going to be adding a sub story and adding atleast 1 page of additional story to the original 28 pages of story, so we are going to be looking at atleast another 4 pages of story! Well that's all I have for know, oh wait I'm working on the getting the first card from our upcoming trading card set done, and am hoping to be able to give it away for every copy of Noah sold come September 21st. God Bless my friends!
-Peter Gonzalez-

John 15:12

www.crownjr.com
www.twitter.com/crownjr
http://...com/lpypop follow us on facebook
